Marketo Engage at Grodan for marketing automation

Challenges

Grodan, part of the Rockwool Group, is a Dutch provider of innovative and sustainable stone wool growing media solutions for the professional horticultural sector by using their Precision Growing principles. These solutions are applied for the cultivation of vegetables and flowers, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers, egg plants, roses and gerberas. Sustainability is an important factor for Grodan in the manufacturing of stone wool substrates and end-to-life solutions.

Their goals were to become more visible within their branch, generate more leads, build relationships, stimulate and influence up- and cross-sell, and to improve the alignment between marketing and sales.

Solution

Grodan started working with Chapman Bright in 2018 and has been using Marketo Engage as their marketing automation platform since then. The objective of Chapman Bright was to make Rockwool successful in utilizing Marketo Engage for future growth, with an increase in turnover due to more and better lead management. To meet their goals, Grodan has prepared, amongst other things, an inbound marketing campaign to generate leads and establish technical thought leadership. We jumped in here to support Grodan in the execution of this campaign, by providing them with, for instance, content programs, email templates, and engagement programs.

Results

The colaboration between Chapman Bright and Grodan still continues in 2025. Now that the Marketo Engage integration has been completed, it is time to focus on leveraging. To get the maximum revenue out of Marketo Engage, we focus on ensuring business continuity, operational business support, training Grodan’s employees with the right skills and developing a Marketo Engage business case.
