From trainee to Junior MarTech Consultant
Britt's experience on starting a traineeship at Chapman Bright to eventually develop into the role of Jr. MarTech Consultant

Chapman Bright’s Traineeship is a 2 year program which will fully prepare you for the consultancy profession in the field of marketing technology. On this page, you can read all about what the first year of the traineeship will look. In the second year of the traineeship program, you’ll have the unique opportunity to specialize in areas that align with your passions and career goals. During this year, you will choose up to four topics related to Marketing Automation to explore in-depth. This phase is designed to allow you to focus on what excites you most.
After the first year, you have gained enough knowledge and experience to work on project together with your colleagues. However, after this year, the time has come to specialize in certain areas to make sure that you can further shape your own career in the direction where your interests lie. So, that is what you will do during the second year. You will take on more responsibility in projects, but you will also still have enough time for learning and development in these areas.
We have compiled a selection of topics to choose from, but you may of course also focus on other topics related to Marketing Automation during this year that are not on this list:
Specializing in your preferred topics will practically mean that you are going to start working on projects that are related to your preferred topics. This will happen throughout the year, but nothing is fixed. It could for example mean that you will be working on a client project that is related to lead management for 2 months, but that you will be working on a bigger client project related to integrations, architecture and databases for the next 6 months. During these projects, you will be guided by your fellow colleagues and there will be room to deep-dive into the topics besides doing the regular project work.
To round of the full traineeship, you will give a presentation at the end of year 2 to showcase everything you have learned. The presentation will be about the topics and projects you have specialized in. You will present and discuss your learnings from each of the four topics you deep dived into.
The final presentation will mark the end of your time in the traineeship. In the past 2 years, you have learned everything about Marketing Automation and Technology, new tools, working with stakeholders and the consultancy profession. The traineeship has fully prepped you to transition into the role of Junior MarTech Consultant.
